Day 6: Balbriggan

Today we met later than other days because it was Saturday, so the children and their families could rest and sleep more.

It was sunny early in the morning, but suddenly the weather changed into a very cold, windy and rainy day.

Before the rain started, we went to a football pitch. We divided the children into groups in order to play ball games and to do some English activities with Steven.

After lunch, we continued doing some English activities and English games in a room.

Our day finished with a disco-party and signing to each other our activity books.

Day 5: Malahide

We woke up with a sunny day so we finally could go to Malahide.

We got to the castle walking through a beautiful wood.

We had a guided tour in the castle, and we learnt a little bit of its history.

Later, we visited the gardens.

The sunny day was gone but it didn't rain so we played some ball games and had lunch in the greens.

In the afternoon, we went to Malahide village and beach before coming back to Balbriggan.

Day 4: Shopping day

Today IT wasn't as cold as other days but still a little bit rainy, so we decided to go to Dublin for our shopping day.

Before we left Balbriggan, the kids met Steven and he introduced himself and chatted with them all.

We went shopping in Dublin and after we enjoyed our pack lunches in Stephen's Green.

On our way back home, we stopped at balbriggan harbour and learnt a few stories about its lighthouse.

At the end of the day IT was very funny to see all the kids wearing the souvenirs they had bought..... They were professional tourists.

Day 3: In Dublin again.

Today we wanted to visit Malahide Castle, but the weather was bad and rainy to go there so we decided to go to Dublin again.

Once there, we went to the Docklands, where we talked about "The great famine", a sad period of Irish history...

Later, we crossed over Ha'Penny Bridge, a pedestrian bridge over the River Liffey...

Then we walked through the beautiful streets of Temple Bar, where there many shops and places with live music...

We had another little walk to visit Christ Church and St. Patrick's Cathedral. There, we rested for a while and we had lunch in its beautiful garden.

Finally, we went to the Wax Museum, where children enjoyed watching the famous figures and singing and dancing...

It was a rainy but nice day in Dublin.
